Notes

I've had mixed results lately with converting my photos to JPG (be it for print or web output), and this one finally put me over the top. When rendered in Lightroom or Photoshop I really enjoyed this picture; loved the different hues in the various buildings and was happy with the range of levels across the image. I uploaded the image to my server, and opened up Firefox to make sure it had loaded correctly. The image I saw there was dark and murky. Much moodier than the shot I intended to put up. So I reopened the jpg in Photoshop and compared the two side-by-side (on the same monitor), and sure enough, the image in Firefox is much darker and doesn't look to contain the same range overall.

Next I pulled up the site in Safari: ahh! That was the image I was intending! Or much closer to it at least. So, does anyone have thoughts on why Firefox does such a lousy job of rendering JPGs?
